Summary of Current Information About Heirs

These days, it’s extremely hard to come by any information for The Heirs (also known as “Those Who Want the Crown, Withstand the Weight of it – The Heirs”, Korean: 상속자들), the drama that many people are anticipating.

What seems to be the only official photo of Heirs? Or not even. Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye do look rich though…

Here’s as much information as can be found for this drama, listed in order of “confirmed” and “rumored”.


1. The two leads for this drama are the famous Lee Min Ho (from Boys Over Flowers) who will play Kim Tan, and Park Shin Hye (from Heartstrings).

2. The drama will be 20 episodes long and will air in October on Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS.

3. The drama is written by the writer/director, Kim Eun Sook and Kang Shin Hyo as Producer. Kim Eun Sook was the writer for both Secret Garden (Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won) and Lovers in Paris.

4. Although Jung Yonghwa of CNBlue was initially going to join the star studded cast of The Heirs, he backed out because of the differences between his agency and the production company.

5. Choi Jin Hyuk (of Gu Family Book) has been confirmed to join the cast as Lee Min Ho’s older half-brother, named Kim Won.

6. Kim Won is 31 years old, and considered to be extremely capable and perfect in every way.

7. Yoon Son Ha (known for her role in Fugitive: Plan B) will play the wife in a rich family and will be fighting with Lee Min Ho.

2.  Kim Woo Bin (most known for his role in School 2013, Vampire Idol, and White Christmas) is also one of the leads cast for The Heirs.

3. Park Shin Hye’s character is boyish, and named Cha Eun Sang. Her mother will most likely be played by Kim Mi Kyung.

Three Korean films highlighted in Berlin (2014/03/02)

The winners were “Sprout”, directed by Yoon Ga-eun, ” Non-fiction Diary “, by Jung Yoon-suk , and “A Dream of Iron”, by Kelvin Kyung Kun Park . The short film “Sprout” won the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film in the Generation Kplus category.

Scandalous celebs banned (2014/02/28)

Public broadcaster KBS suspended four entertainers – singer Tony Ahn, comedians Lee Soo-geun and Song In-hwa and singer-entertainer Tak Jae-hoon – from the channel’s shows yesterday, according to local media reports. The decision came Tuesday following a temporary ban imposed by the broadcaster on the four celebrities in December. A spokesman for KBS said that the decision was made “considering the social stir the four people caused over the last year”.
